I'm super embarrassed asking this question, and I really don't know if I'm just being ridiculous or not, but here goes... Since having my son, I haven't even attempted to try and have intercourse. I've just been too sore and uncomfortable with my fissure to even bother. My fissure seems to just make everything "down there" feel achy. I want to know, will regular, missionary intercourse put too much pressure near my fissure and cause harm? I know it's two different areas of the body, but just concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I'm a male and it affects mine in the worst way. I get SUPER tight back there when I have sex, and so I really don't anymore. As a guy I don't know if it would have the same affect for a woman, but it'll likely tighten things up, which is no good. The two areas are pretty closely related, but again I'm not sure.

I was really worried about this too, but I have found that it was the fear that made sex painful (rather than sex affecting the AF, itms). Having said that [tmi warning], I am very careful that my DH doesn't accidentally bump/rub the anus area too much, so as to cause a problem.

No way will I let my poor husband anywhere near me. Tried it... Hurt it.....he felt bad for hurting me.... Won't be trying that again for a while! :oops:

Lol thought I was the only one who wouldn't let my husband near me...lol! It's just that AF's make the whole bottom area radiate with pain..even though AF's are in the back they still affect the front.

if you have anal fissures and you are still on treatment... can I still have sex with my girlfriend...????

I'm female and I could still have sex when my fissure was active but I know that an orgasm would set my spasms off quite bad and the pain after was quite intense
Not sure how it is for men but from what I have read if you are currently having spasm then an orgasm could set them off
