Hi All Just wondering if there is anyone that as tried both Movicol/Mirilax and Lactulose and if so which they felt produced the most consistently soft stools. I'm taking Lactulose and while I get soft stools I am prone to the odd hard tip and have to watch my diet ...

anyone switched from lactulose to movicol....having to take 150ml of lactulose to help is movicol better? plus how did you change?

I am taking Lactulose every day since 2,5 years and would be interested how many ml are you taking ? I need more or less 3x2,5 ml per day (before breakfast/meal and dinner).
Happened it to sbdy. that got used to it and had to max. the amount ?

Hi guys I just got back from the GPs to get some more rectogesic and whilst I was there she recommended I stop taking Movicol and start with Lactulose instead. She said that the consistency of the BMs would be better with Lactulose than Movicol and I would heal quicker. Not sure about this. ...

hi ive been on lactulose for years now due to constipating medication for another illness...i was wondering if anyone else been on it for a long time.....im trying to cut down as take too much now and im worried its doing me harm (not told gp just how much i take )

I've been using Lactulose for the past week (15ml twice a day) but it doesn't seem to be helping with my constipation.
Can anyone else suggest something that I can try? I'm in England.
