You know, that sounds like any other cleanser's ingredients. I would think it shouldn't have fragrance added either as it can be an irritant. Hmmm...
I did read on a website that part of a healing regimen should include sitz baths with an antibacterial such as Iodine or Potassium permanganate.
Thank you for typing it out. Their website didn't have a list.

Audi the Hot bath was how I made it through the. first days. I would sleep in the tub. I helped the pain alot. Also if you are prone to experiment stay away from constipating narcotics. I am a recovering addict but when I had surgery they gave them to me. Ended up sitting on the toilet crying and constipated. Bad bad idea!

LOL Sterlingbird... I'm not one to really dabble in narcotics. I am an alcoholic though. I'm not sure I should intake any alcohol in this time period. So I'm not going to. Which isn't helping with anxiety and frustration. The baths I do enjoy. 3 20min baths a day is kind of nice.

I used Balneol and all it did was irritate my skin. For cleansing, I believe.
In the end (pun) I would rather stick to Sitz baths with plain water, and Vaseline once a day.

I can see the plain bath and Vaseline working just fine. That is basically what I've been doing. Besides the Ibuprofen I decided to take about an hour before I have to make a BM. Which today actually came with no BM. So tomorrow we'll see. But the discomfort has dropped a bit compared to yesterday for me.

You're welcome. We're all in misery (and hopefully, recovery - eventually) together.
