After LIS

Postby supersadguy » 01 Jun 2019, 22:07

It is my understanding that having LIS will relieve the resting pressure and help any future fissures to heal faster? IS this correct? I am having some major discomfort, maybe a fissure and it scares me so much I don't want that pain again, and what it did to me mentally also. Has anyone's CRS mentioned something like this?

That's exactly what my CRS told me.

My LIS was in 2015 as well. So worried I have a new fissure. Sitting on heating pad as I write this. I just hope it heals quick, CRS scheduled out for a while. Happy I found this forum and can talk with other people about this pain and what it does to us.

Theoretically, you should never have the severe pain from a fissure again, because after the cut, the sphincter shouldn't be able to spasm anymore. That's why a new fissure, after a LIS, should heal quickly. That's my understandingof it, but if you're worried, can you see another CRS?

My CRS's nurse called in some niadfine (sp) cream for me. I will pick that up tomorrow.

Felt better this AM until I had a BM. Weird thing is no pain during BM, like last time. Just hurts afterwards.

Maybe slight spasm but NOTHING like before, so I am thankful for that. It really is amazing how much this messes up my mental side as well.

Thank you for corresponding with me. It does help talking with other people who have experience with this.

You're welcome, I know that having someone who understands helps a lot. Hopefully, the cream will help and you'll be back to normal again soon. If not, you can see your CRS when he gets back, or see someone else if you have to.

Even if the cream doesn't work as an analgesic, it could still be helping to encourage new blood flow to the area, which should help the fissure to heal. Keep that in mind, and try to keep your spirits up.

Reaching out. So I felt like I wa getting better and went to that appointment on the 12th with a new doc. His exams hurt me. Kinda felt worse after and I made him atop the exam. He said he thinks he felt a fissure but wasn’t sure due to me not letting him use the anal scope.

I am upset cause at times I think it’s. hemmeroids and at times I think it’s a fissure. I really feel upset that a doc did that and it takes 6 weeks to see the doc that did my LIs. I have to travel on Sunday on a plane then drive for 4 hours. I am so beyond and thinking dark thoughts cause I struggle and being in pain makes things bad for me. Have no idea how to get the care I need.
