Anal Fissures, hemmoroids, constipation, i.b.s.

Postby GeorgeTheCatMan » 13 May 2013, 15:36

Here is a page from the site chronic pelvic pain help with information from the book "Headache In the Pelvis. It discusses how most people who have chronic pelvic pain also have anal fissures, constipation, hemorroids, and i.b.s. It explains how medical treatment tends to ignore the relationship between mind and body. The authors of the book believe that the source of the anal fissure and these other conditions that often accompany them involves a chronically tightened anal sphincter, and the relationship of a person's mindset, level of relaxation during bowel movements, and management of stress and anxiety are largely responsible for the creation and ongoing existence of these conditons. You can read more hear taken from "Headache In the Pelvis 5th edition.

Thanks, I really think that there's a lot of truth to this article. I've been suffering with anxiety and stress for almost a year due to various situations and I noticed that I'm constantly tightening my muscles. It was right after that I started doing this that the fissure appeared. I also have I.B.S. and Chronic Pelvis Pain Syndrome so all of this article makes sense to me. It would be interesting to find out how many people who now suffer with fissures have the other ailments mentioned in the article and also have been or were dealing with stress and/or anxiety prior to the onset of the fissure.

Thanks for sharing. I have/had all the conditions which you have mentioned. You said it right, mind and body has a huge relationship.
My fissure appeared after undergoing high stress. I try to keep myself normal and being positive - because all these symptoms starts getting worst when we press ourselves physically and mentally.
