Thanks Phil, NG and Elfkin, I've just popped on for the last time before the big day, infact I'd like to thank cheryl, Fissy and other board members that have contributed to this forum and for being so sympathetic and understanding, you know, this board really does rock, if I had not found this place then I wouldn't be nowhere near as prepared for this as I am now, you guys get 10/10 for the help and advice right from diet tips, toileting techniques, butt wiping and stool softener info to pain meds info and surgery etc etc, I couldn't ask for more even though I know you'd give more..

Steve, thanks for your contributions to the board as well! After tomorrow you'll be a "vet" :) Hope all goes well, and remember what I said, wear black pants to the surgery center just in case you have a boo-boo after the operation like I did Talk to you "on the other side" of LIS!

LOL NG thanks... I've already got the black pants as described I was thinking about wearing wellington boots too so as to catch any fecal matter that falls down my trouser leg LMAO... I will definitely talk to you after the procedure, btw, I'm not going to leave this board even after I've healed, I'll stick around to give advice with you guys!

Hey cheryl, good luck with the golf, hopefully it won't rain, can't say the same about here, it's done nothing but rain for about 3 weeks now and it's supposed to be summer LOL...

I've just shared with my friend Dwight (hospice minister) that you will be having LIS tomorrow. He'll say prayers for you also!! Be strong and be well!!

They put me in a sort of pull-up diaper, so I had no problem with discharge on the way home. You'll need a bunch of panty liners though - I went through at least 5-6 a day for the first few days.
