Thank you so much for your support. I went to the dr and got a referral to a gastroenterologist. I have to wait for them to call me. It might take months. I've still been bleeding all day. The dr didn't even take a look just wrote the referral. I tried going to the toilet without pushing around my anus only pushing at the perineum, just couldn't choke that feeling like there was more to come out. I will be ok with a fissure or haemorrhoid, my fear is incontinence and/or leaky gas where you smell and can't help it or needing a colostomy bag. I'm am terrified of this in fact. I am pretty certain it is my pushing around the anus that causes my issues and straining to poop more cause of that darn incomplete evacuation problem :-(. I have diarrhoea every day 1-2 times so I know I'm not constipated. It must be in my head or something.

I'm getting really down about it. I'm glad I can talk so honest here, it is such a delicate and embarrassing area. Having problems down there can rule your life.

Hi Ouchie,
It's good you've made the contact now - Just stay on top of it and don't be afraid to call them if you've not heard for a while, just to see if they are any closer to getting you a date.
Pushing really doesn't help for sure because it puts so much pressure on the area, creating fissures & hems and aggravating them both, but I doubt that this will directly lead to incontinence issues/ gas. You may just need to look at retraining your bowel habits, so you start pushing from your lower abdominal muscles rather than your rectal area and learn to become a lot more relaxed about the entire process - you sound so stressed out about it all, which is completely normal, especially given your worries about the bleeding.
It is quite possible to reach a stage where you can go quite normally, with minimal (if any) pushing but this is helped immensely by eating the right diet and producing the right stool consistency to be able to do that and then just being totally relaxed in the evacuation process. It will be good to examine your diet and chat to a gastroenterologist to see what is causing you chronic diahrroea and hopefully once that begins to settle down, everything else will also fall into place for you.
It is completely normal to feel highly stressed about this, anxious & scared and if things are that overwhelming, do you have a sympathetic GP you can chat to about your general stress levels?? :)

I am still waiting for the gastroenterologist to call me. In the mean time I went and saw my OB, he examined me down there and told me it's a fissure and to get some creams. I'm still going to see the gastronomy to try and stop this problem.

Thank you for all your support, this is not fun at all
