Yes missy, it's time to shit or get off the pot as my dad would say. Or get a CRS who knows what they are doing. Time to end your misery. Go for it.

Thanks Rich i know i have to i just have to end of story I've been scared an tried to avoid this for years but after nearly 8 years (what a JOKE) it isn't going to help naturally or i can't make it better an fix it myself. I've been kidding myself. I've also been through some big stuff this year which now kinda makes butt stuff seem small. I mean i was in fear for my life 3 months ago thats scary this is just childs play an I'm over it. I'm waiting for my appointment where I'll be asking about advancement flap and or lis.

Hi, It is funny I was thinking about how you were doing this week and meant to write. So annoying the botox hasn't helped long term. Are you under a specialist - what do they advise?

Hi Suemac I'm just going to see a surgeon under the health system but they are general surgeons who specialise in butt stuff so we'll see how that goes. I'n my past appointments I've had surgeons say if you can't live with it surgery is the only option and its risky. This is why I've never treated it with surgery they tell me its the last resort well when i present to them after many years of having a fissure shouldn't they be saying you are the perfect candidate for surgery because obviously this thing hasn't healed that is what surgery is for and you clearly are having a shit life so we need to fix that for you!! I must be seeing incompetent doctors or something. Every surgery has risks but what are my other options doc? Handle it? How bizarre is that um no thanks clearly they have never experienced 1 day of having a fissure. Who in there right mind can just live with it for ever like thats a legitimate option dumb dumbs.

Woooo needed to get that out lol. I think i just need to start being mpre aggressive. I read on here people saying if a surgeon is saying theres risks an is worried about the risks an is hesitant then big fat NEXT.

I'll go to this free appointment ask some questions like who is the best around here who has done the most fissure repairs etc an options and if then i walk out without confidence oe disheartened I'll go pay $500nzd for a 30min consultation at 1 of the best places available a private place which only deals with Colon and rectum stuff and I'll pick their brains an ask if anyone is competent in that outfit to help me. If i have to I'll pay private atleast I'll feel super relaxed about it an will have way less anxiety. But it wil cost about $10 thousand nzd which is a truck load of money for a single income family of 5.

Also no one has ever done a tone test on me so what if my tone is sky high then say something like lis has less risks involved but the surgeons are just saying its risky because I'm a woman whos had 3 kids. Wouldn't they like to know what my tone is before saying its extremely risky. Just seems silly to me. The risks are so small out of the 100s of thousands in the world that would of had say lis including shit doctors the risk is still like only 6% unsuccessful. That 6% is probably people who are more complex cases like other stuff is going on to and then also rubbish cowboy doctors.

It's so tricky Missy isn't it. Let me know how your appointment goes and what they say. I think that it might be worth paying for that private consultation to get the most helpful honest response. Having three children is a risk but both of us have done it. Lots of things are risky. I can't advise you what to do but do let me know how your appoiuntment goes. take care of yourself. suemac

Its so frustrating I'm dealing with a sick 4 month old and a fissure flear up. Not fun I'm literally taking it 1 day at a time. Next to no sleep or rest an a baby that won't let me put down im holding him constantly and also have a 4yr old an 7yr old so breakfast school runs etc everything else must go on. Its so draining I'm stretched so thin everyone needs me. My fissure is like a 4th child that i do not want.

It sounds really tough. Have you got any support from family or friends? Can you tell anyone about the pain and discomfort you are in - i know it's not easy to discuss. I imagine the lack of rest is not helping any healing to happen. I hope your little one is better soon and it's nothing too serious? Try to rest when the baby does and kids are at school. My children are a similar age gap but now almost grown up - but I remember how full on it was. Keep me posted.

Thanks suemac i recently told my sister so now my partner mum and sister know of the fissure. I don't ask for help and i know everyone is busy. I'll get through it just gotta wait it out. He has a cough an runny nose just over all not well but being that we are in New Zealand an covid seems basically non existent here I'm not worried about that thank god because if i was anywhere else i would be freaking out about that on top of everything else. I believe he has a flu that his 4year old brother just got over thanks to daycare you can't avoid anything. I managed to get through the hell of a start to breastfeeding so I'm gratefully feeding him back to health. How have you been Suemac? I'm up at midnight right now feeding the little one.

Hey I'm not sure my last post sent? I'm pretty good right now. My old fissure seems to play up with stress. I have to remain calm at all times - basically my butt clenches up when I'm anxious and it seems to trigger the post bm pain. Specialist has said fissure all closed, healed but my body likes to remind me!
I'm glad you told your sister as well. At least family know when you get down or angry. I hope the little one is better soon and glad breastfeeding working out as it's easier than bottles although takes its toll on you. Keep mep osted.
