I still haven't had a BM today because I didn't eat untill about 4pm yesterday I'm worried that when I do final go it mite be dried out so I'm kind of wanting to go but not wanting to go

So 24hrs after eating for the first time after fasting for Botox and I'm so swollen only half my BM came out an it was thin and there was hard bits and blood it's sore and sharp I think my second fissure must have opened up during the procedure because while trying to have a movement my second fissure spot also felt sharp so now that only half my BM came out my system is so slow and I don't want to push! What now? It's now 6pm and I'm worried about tomorrow morning

Hi Missy, I remember Patience and Healing had some advice on this. You need to insert some water with a sterile seringe, but not too much, 2 ml or something. This will cause the rectum to contract and expel the rest.

I'm too scared to look or touch at all I feel swollen without even touching I remember looking at the area the day after my first Botox and it was so heart wrenching I don't want to look or touch this time and the last bit of BM that came out was a soft so I'm thinking all the hard bits came out and there is only soft bits left plus if I take softners tonight hopefully tomorrow morning will be ok

Warm prune juice and the rest should come out

Thanks okaybum I'll try that tomorrow I can't tonight because the shops are closed an I don't have any prune juice.

Day2 my bowel is still sluggish but I had and urge this morning but struggled to get the sticky BM out I pushed a little and then gave up my poor body didn't like going under this time I guess. Atleast the stool is soft but for the rest of the morning my mission is to clear my bowel properly right after I drop my son off at school I'll go and get some prune juice I just don't want explosive diarrhoea which I know can easily happen if you have one cap too much of the prune juice

Don’t take too much prune juice... you don’t want to end up stuck on the toilet.

My mother in law swears by eating half to one apple in the morning to stimulate a bm. Apparently it’s an old wives tale that works a treat.

Don’t forget to drink plenty and get as much rest as you can ( I know it’s hard with 2 little ones).

Half a glass or about 150ml to 200ml of prune juice. It's what my mum gives to senior citizens at the aged care facility when they have issues.

Apple juice can work too.
