Botox recovery

Postby brokenhelm » 07 Apr 2018, 11:32

Dear AF forum readers,

I have been lurking for awhile over here, however I have an couple of questions which I don't seem to find on this forum.

Currently I am recovering from botox operation, a bit longer than expected but ok.
First some brief history, I have been dealing with this for about 4 months. First started with creme (Diltiazem) for 3 months, which didn't do much for me. So I have gotten botox a week and a half ago, the first week wasn't very good for. The operation left me with a rather bruised feeling for about a week, however the pain and burning after going to the toilet is gone (yeah!).

However I am still dealing with the feeling that things are not ok down there.

If I sit some time I get a bruised feeling internally.
If I walk for about half an hour or so I also get an bruised and a stretching feeling.
Both results in protesting buttocks afterwards.

What I am trying to find out is:

- Has anyone got the same feeling while healing?
- Does anyone recognize this bruised feeling?
- How do you deal with getting moving and sitting again?

Currently I am feeling like I am around the stage that if a do something wrong I will go back to the start.
As I am planning to go work again next week (parttime), it makes me worry a bit.

Hopefully someone who had botox can answer your question, but I can tell you from surgery perspective, yes you will feel sore for a few weeks. Sitting puts pressure on the injured area so try to lay down or walk. I couldn't sit for long periods of time for about 4 weeks. It would get uncomfortable and I would feel slight pain and pressure. Don't worry, this will pass, have patience. This is normal. It's good that you don't have pain during BMs, hopefully your fissure is healing. But don't forget that during botox you were poked multiple times with needles and you had large instruments in your anus. It's normal for the area to be brused and sore for a few weeks.

Thank you, Hopefull123.

I think you might be right that I do need more patience for this. Fingers crossed.

Do you have any experience/tips in getting mobile (walking & potential workout) again?

Hi again,

This morning I thought of another additional question.

- Is it possible that my Macrogol (stool softener) is making it too soft? Maybe a 5+. Not as consist as before.

Hi I had Botox 2 months ago first as kindly as possible stop focusing on your bum!! Try ignore it tell yourself it's healed an move on I had to do this aswel, secondly I had feelings like bruising an what not for about 4 weeks you can click on my name an then click on my topics find (only Botox after all) that's my Botox story as for the macrogol salution to much will must certainly cause loose stools dry reduce it slowly I tried to go off it completely over a week or two an the tip of my stool become hard this may not happen to you ideally you would take something like psyllium husk daily or nothing at all just a good diet an water because you want the muscle to stay use to normal sized stool if not you'll need to create abnormal stools for ever or get lis to reset the muscle tone that's what a specialist told me, good luck you can do it our body are made to be self-healing
