LOL - I won't get yours out of the trash Lecia!
Is the fissurectomy done externally or internally? I have always had issues with the part of my fissure that peaks out from my bum (slightly outside). Would a fissurectomy get rid of that scar tissue? For those of you who had one done, could you see the fissuectomy removal if you looked with a mirror???

I think a fissurectomy does involve some removal of scar tissue!

juney
what I did was get a baby feeding syringe and flushthe area out. While I was in the bath tub or on the sits bath, i would fill the syringe with the water, stick it at the base of the bum and squirt the area. some water would end up getting inside, but most of it would com right back out. It would also debride the area. I could definitely tell the days I didn;t do it.

Jen babe - I had 2 fissrectomies and did not see a cut. It is done internally- of course. They just "shave" the edges if there is a scar tissue so that edges can adhere correctly and fast. BUT- since you always saw your fissure even outside of the anus, maybe you would be able to see fissurectomy if you had it done.
I hope I helped and I hope you are doing well Jen Image Image Image Image
