Thank you all, buddies - I will try it if my poop decides to stop cooperating Image . Right now it is perfect consistency since I am back to veggies, fruits , heaps of metamucil and MOM ! But it is always good to have something else on hand in the case of emergency Image
LOVE YOU ALL :_):

Colace®
Contraindications.
Stool Softener Precautions. Do not take with Mineral Oil. Concurrent use with mineral oil may cause increased absorption of mineral oil and result in the formation of tumor-like deposits in tissues. Do not take danthron, mineral oil or phenolphthalein with docusate. The propensity for toxic effects is greatly increased. Liver injury has been reported with the danthron combination following repeated dosage.

I remember now why I did not take it first time around Image I used mineral oil !

I was reluctant to try colace for a long time (because I was irrationally afraid that my system would get dependent on it), but then I tried it and it seemed to work pretty well for a month. after that, though, it wasn't consistent. in fact, i started taking more and more -- one day i took 8 100mg tablets. but i still got a hard poo.
for me, lactulose and MOM are much stronger and more effective and consistent.
if you're getting soft poos doing what you're doing, i recommend keeping that up. and if you start getting some harder poos, maybe just increase the MOM dosage a bit.

hope you're doing better, too, Fiss!!!
Hey, what's that icon under my picture? Is that a snake? Or is that a big, long poop? I think that makes more sense -- I often feel like I was born in the Year of the Poop.
