okay if we just simply omit the dictionary definition for now, what does constipation mean for you?

for instance, for me it may be:
1. harder stools
2. not having a stool for more than 48 hours - but not necessarily does this mean it will be a hard stool.
3. having to strain.
or
any combination of the above.

That is a good question. I never know what people mean exactly by it because it could mean any or all of those things. I usually expect it to mean you haven't gone as regular and when you do it is hard to pass.

For me it means the same.
-hard poos even if they are on time
-more than 48 hrs without a poo
-having to strain

Yeah, basically the same here...
Hard bulky tip on stool...it doesn't just slide out, it stops, and I know I'm in trouble...when it finally does pass -- slowly, and sometimes with straining -- it reinjures my AF...
I don't have a problem with being regular though.
My hard-tipped stools have become less common, but if they still prevent me from healing, I may start taking colace...

I read an article once where a colorectal guy stated that constipation was simply the inability to pass the stool. Period.
He also said that if it isn't moving within thirty seconds after you sit, *he* considers you constipated.
In which case, I am almost always constipated..

well i just ended a few minutes ago a three day bm strike!!!!!
i feel........yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......
i hate when more than two days go by without a poo!

well at least there was no damage. i was worried because it was nice to have happyass at work this week and i was dreading the 'hard tip' poo but i lubed up, squatted and got that first part out and thanx to eating lots of bean curd homestyle with mixed veggies a lot this week, everything else was just pure easy work.
i was ready to take some laxatives this evening but that won't be necessary any more.

I normally goe once every three weeks. Since I started on glycolax im going every few days..but no one told me that I should be going at least weekly..I just figured that out and im almost 34.
