i have tried to do that but on the search for osu there is no colon and rectal doctors that i can find on the site. how do i find one?

Being new, the forum will not allow me to post a link, but you can go to surgery.osu.edu then use the surgeon directory. The doctors that specialize in CRS will be under gastrointestinal surgery - their specialties and areas being listed below.

thanks alot for the information. i found what you sent to me. i think i will call them tomm at osu and try to make a appt. i have another appt wed with my crs doc, she uses riverside hospital and i know osu is better..

Jenny, OSU may or may not be better than what you currently have, but it is always good to have options. I think you will feel better once you settle on a CRS you feel comfortable with and that can help you make a plan. Personally, after seeing my CRS Friday and concluding that surgery is my only option, I am still in pain, but I feel much better knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

yes it would be nice to have a crs that i am comfortable with. will try osu if the lady crs dont work out on wed. when do you have surgery buckeye?

The CRS's office is calling me tomorrow to schedule my surgery. My CRS said he could operate this week if I wanted, but I'm thinking that next week would be better given that Thanksgiving is this week and the Michigan game is Saturday.

yes i understand that u dont want to have surgery this close to thanksgiving. lol the michigan game.. i hear you there.. let me know when you schedule your surgery for. my appt is wed with crs..

i know what you mean, i have the same thing going on.
the crs told me i was healed, then i had a clot, gave me very optimistic time frames, and still pain... though i must admit the trend is up. still...
it might be spasms?
might it be worth your while to ask for valium suppositories to see if they work?
i am still sorting things out too.
apparently the pain can become chronic on its own without a fissure.
levator ani syndrome is one example.
my crs is highly regarded so it may not necessarily be her advice at fault. but something else? i also have low back pain...

yes i hope they get better for us both. i am real sick of it. lol. i do have another paper cut though ( fissure) . seeing crs on wed, who knows what she is gonna say....

I got my D-Day today... next Tuesday 9:15. If all goes well, I will have a new one this time next week!
I know you were in a lot of pain the other day, get the CRS to give you pain meds and valium. Because I have had no pain relief from Lidocaine, Nitro, and steroids; my CRS gave me Vicodin and Valium to get me through to surgery (with the understanding that I drink a boat load of water, and eat a field full of fiber).
