So I had LIS surgery over 10 years ago and all was fine for the longest time. Now recently I developed a new fissure which has been getting worst over the past year or so. I was considering having another LIS but my Dr says its too risky. I've been doing the creams and soaks but pain still burns like hell after even the softest BM.

My Dr suggests that he cut out the fissure and let it heal on its own. I don't see how this would be a better or less painful option. Has anyone here had this done?

What about having the fissure removed then putting in Botox it's a temporary lis so it will fade over tine? Is the fissure a new one or the old one reopened?

Hi,

Botox is always an option. I will have to speak to the Dr and see what he thinks. I don't think the fissure is the same one as it seems to be located in a different location as far as I can tell.

Nitro is also an option.
