Fissure gone but internal hems causing problems

Postby Tushi » 12 Sep 2015, 08:32

In April I developed a fissure that bled and caused a great deal of pain. After two treatments of diltiazem and nitro compound in addition of Epsom salts sitz baths, daily Konzyl (psyllium), lots of water and a good diet, a recent colonoscopy showed no signs of fissure but several internal hems, which are the cause now of on and off bright blood I get when wiping and in the stool. After a painless bm, discomfort develops on my left gluteus (the hems are on the left) and as the day progresses the pain (bearable but uncomfortable) radiates down the left leg.

I get exactly the same symptoms, T, and sometimes they bleed quite heavily. I am just leaving it as my mother had the exact same thing and just lived with it. When I had a sigmoidoscopy three years ago, they told me I had them, and having had two hemorrhoid surgeries, never again!

Surgery is out of the question for me. You just live with them????
In the past, I have had banding but they obviously came back in spite of all the care I take. I must add that in all the years with recurrent rectal issues, this has been the worst I ever had.
