For those that had surgery

Postby kikaida » 22 Oct 2016, 12:17

For those of you that had the surgery can you wipe normal with toilet paper or you still need to use soft wipe or water? What I mean is after everything has healed properly, can you resume a normal life wiping that is?

Kikaida, I am 4 weeks post surgery and I am still using wet toilet paper/water. That's mainly because I suffered a thrombosed hemorrhoid from the surgery, and that's taking a while to go away, up to 8 weeks. If it wasn't for that, I would probably be wiping normally now. I am eager to hear what others have to say, maybe those who had surgery a few months ago.

I still use wet toilet tissue (21 months post-op), because I have a skin tag that is tender. I imagine that this will be a lifetime issue, but have no problem with that. My life was hell before the surgery, and to now have to wipe with wet paper, is a very, very, very small price to pay to resume a normal life and regain my mental well-being.
