OK - this is really ridiculous, I mean - do we have some kind of "scarlet letter" branded in our butts or what ????!!!! I can't believe this !!!!
I did not bleed even when I HAD A FISSURE !!!!! Not even after surgery - there was some pinkish discharge from the anus due to fissurectomy but NO FRESH BLOD :pale: !!! I had my last BM of the day (around 10 pm), no pain, poop medium soft - wiped my butt and just my jaw dropped - a drop of fresh blood on TP !!!! I took a mirror and there was clearly visible place where the blood was coming from - base of my "problematic" skin tag ! I have no idea what is going on - I will call my SF CRS tomorrow morning - she usually makes space for me same day - hopefully it will be the case this time too ! I have no pain (yet???) . I mean, this is just ridiculous :shock: - maybe we all have "butt stigmata " so whenever one of our friends has setback we all have one too, to show sympathy ???!!!
I don't have any other explanation for my bleeding - - maybe CRS would know more after exam. If it is tag itself - I am chomping it off right there !!!!

Oh, Fiss, how awful!! Isn't it sooo horrible to go all this time thinking we're near enough cured and then, wham! back come all the butt problems! I'm glad you're not in pain though. Maybe its just a minor setback that can be sorted out swiftly and then you'll be back on the path for healing.
Best of luck with the CRS tomorrow! You're lucky to be able to phone up and get answers- here we have to wait ages for an appointment, on our NHS we have to wait for months!

How are you doing ? Do you have any pain today or bleeding ??? Yeah - just disheartening dear friend - I was also so over all those butt shenanigans - only my tag would act up occasionally - now this - WHAM !!!!

Mine didnt bleed this morning but its really sore and when I stand up after sitting down, its all throbbing again, l,ike when I first got it! I'm back on MOM, and savlon baths and watching everything I eat. Grrrrr, I thought all this was behind me!
How is yours now? Hope you can get it sorted out quickly. Let us know how you get on .

Hey Fiss, I know you're a little upset with this new minor setback. But you have a friend here wishing you a quick answer and remedy for that one. It's probably a minor cut from something you pooped . Good luck at the doc today - please let us know what she sais ok ?

I wonder if the bleeding could be that the skin tag is starting to burst and that it could actually be a good thing. Maybe it will start to deflate. I think that fact that you felt no pain is a good sign.

But maybe today will be the day when they finally just say enough and get rid of that thing.

I am sorry about the bleeding. I know it just makes you feel scared and upset. I had some bleeding to this week. So it must be that sort of week for all of us. Let us know how your appointment goes. It does seem like it is past time to get rid of that tag because it just won't settle down and behave for very long. You need to be able to poop and not worry about making it worse.

Wow. I'm so sorry to read that you all are bleeding again. that's a little scary--surely for you but also for me. Kim did mention that this sort of thing can happen, so I take comfort in that.
Also, Fiss, if your skin tag is sore and bleeding that is what my infection lloked like in Dec. Not puss, just irritation, stininging and blood. The Flagyl took care of that, but it was constructed in such a way that stuff would just get stuck in there, so I had to continue on the antibiotics until that area healed enough to no get reinfected.

Thank you all for your kind words and concern and being such a good friends - , I don't know what would I do without all of you in moments like this :( . I did not sleep whole night worrying and praying that I get app. today. My CRS in San Francisco managed to squeeze me in at the end of the working hours - I think that she will actually stay after hours to see me, she is just such wonderful person - I wish I had my LIS done there, but she was very reluctant to do it - she believed to the end that I would heal by myself, ...oh well...Now is 12:30 in CA, so I have about 4 hours to go before my hubby and me start almost and hour drive to SF. I still did not go to the bathroom because I am afraid - I know that I have to , I am just buying time :pale: .
Actually, I will take a couple of sips of coffee right now and than I will have to go ready or not ! Holding it can only make things worse .
Chris - I forgot - was your new CRS who diagnosed your skin tag infected in December ? How did he knew it was infected ? Did he perform any special exam or test - or you knew from previous experience how it feels?
I am asking so I can make some suggestions during exam if she does not see anything .

What the heck is going on here? It is like our butts are communicating and saying " Okay lets all bleed" OMG. I hope you are not having any pain. I am having very little to no pain just the blood. At least you are going to the doctor today. I have to wait until 4/23 for my sigmoid scope. Yah don't hold your poo it can cause problems later. Good luck girl I will be thinging of you!! No more bleeding!

Fiss, no it was not my new CRS. I had to go to urgent care at Kaiser and scare the living daylights out of the GP there to get antibiotics. I knew the area was infected and i could see on inspection that there was a hole that was trapping blood and junk just above the skin tag. The hole looked like it burrowed into the tag. I knew it was infected because that is how it felt the year before when I had the infection that I kept trying to convince my drs of. So basically, I went in to urgent care and told the woman dr there that I had dropped Kaiser because of their incompetence as of Jan 1 and that I was getting and infection that I didn't want to abcess on their watch again, that I had tried to convince the drs last year, etc...
The next week when I went to see the cheif of surgery who did the incision and drainage operation the year before (you know the one who insisted for the prior 10 mos I didn't have an infection and that wouldn't abscess), he looked at it and said that I didn't have an infection and refuse to look at what I called my mini-fistula, bascially a hole that stung like crazy and bled when I pushed on the skin tag and general area regardless of bm. I insisted I did have an infection and that he would do well just to cut off the skin tag becaue that's where it was located. He refused and sent me home. I got my medical records later and he charted that I was suffering from a new fissure!! It was like the previous year all over again, only I knew better and had antibiotics from urgent care. Later that week, the stinging and blood stopeed. I tried going off of the flagyl, but the stinging and blood came back, so my new GP and GI had me stay on them until I was healed enough for the area not to trap stuff and turn irritated and bloody again.
I hope you get this before you go.
