Had Botox still not better

Postby beckyvp » 29 Oct 2017, 11:37

I’ve been living with these horrible fissures for over a year ... I’ve had a colonoscopy bc I was scared I had cancer from seeing the blood and having all the pain! I finally got Botox injections a couple weeks ago, I don’t think they did a damn thing! Bum still hurts just as bad... should I just have the surgery?? I’m feeling defeated and desperate for relief at this point! Also, can the fissures cause swelling? I’ve been noticing more swelling down there lately

Botox can take many weeks before relief is felt. Give it a bit more time.

Hi my Botox caused my hems and my skin tags to swell quite a bit and I would say that I got the full effect of the Botox at around the two/three week mark. But I know lots of people who say it was nearer the 6 weeks for them.
Good luck

Are you being exposed to too much heat? Swelling is common after getting botox but if you are exposed to heat, it will take time for the swelling to go. You can check out this blog by a dermatologist in Richmond Hill http://www.thecentrefordermatology.com/ ... ion-marks/.

It says,

"You should avoid tanning beds and sun exposure"

Harper05 how are you now? Did they also remove the fissure? I'm booked in for this in 3 weeks
