Hi Lecia : ),
Nice that you can go to chirop. : )))! It must be relaxing. I would like to try acupuncture but don't know how if I would have enough energy now to go there in this state. My CRS observed my miserable state ; ), it is now very obvious just by looking at my under eye bags , pale skin and 15 pounds that are now obviously missing - I mean, I look too VERY skinny. I refused Botox because it has only 50 % succes rate, and because of possible complications that are at bar with surgery, so I would rather do LIS and be done with this misery once and for all : (. Reaccurance rate of the fissure after LIS is almost 0, while after Botox it is much higher. I said that I am willing to try 4 more weeks and after that I want LIS. She completely agreed and that is why she gave me those 2 creams to combine as a last attempt. I am suppose to use Nitro before BM, soak in the tub, than put good amount of Ca blocker after every BM. She also wants me to take Valium every 6 hours to relax muscles, but I don't think I will be able to do that - I feel so down and tiered already - I think I would than fall into the comma ; ) and spend days like vegetable - not that I am any better now than a vegetable , ha ha, ok, I would be like steamed vegetables after so much Nitro and Val. ; ). I will look into the Ultram - do you think it would be her who would prescribe it or i should call my primary doc . ?
Thanks for writing and hope you had great time at chiro. Happy Haloween !!! Image

Hey,
I think either doctor could write it for you. It is a pretty common pain reliever but it is non-narcotic.
I have tried accupuncture and I think it can be very helpful. But you are right just getting to an appointment can be so hard to manage.
Do you think you can eat some higher caloric foods? I am trying to gain some weight and put protein powder on my All Bran Buds and soy milk and eat a protein bar every day. I also add flaxseed oil to my veggies which has 120 calories per tablespoon of good fat.

Oh, thats a great idea !!!! I was just thinking today about supplementing my diet with protein shakes but was wondering if they could have "hardening" effect on BM ? I guess I will never know if I do not try. Maybe I can mix some prunes in it , ha ha ha, this is just to make Kim cringe heh heh, I hope he is a jokester as he looks like he is ! Anyway, I will try to find some without Ca added in high % - it is so CRAZY - they put calcium in everything under the sun , like it can be absorbed so easily as a free element-most of it goes to our pee and can actually make kidney stones if in excess. Now even soy milk has it added ????? Orange juice???? Just ridiculous !!!!!
Lecia, could you do me a small favor? I forgot who was on the forum worried about Crohn's desease - I just remember about great book "Patient Heal Thyself" that is testimony af one young boy who got rid of it just by eating special food and having right natural supplemants . His name is Jordan S. Rubin, and book is very inspirational in every way. I just remembered having it actually in my book case, just forgot because i bought it LONG time ago. It just looked interesting to me and I took it of the shelve - maybe it was not "just because", maybe it was ment to help our member !!!!
Thanks XOXOOOOOOOOoooooooo....... (this i call "a squeezey hug ; )

I AM a jokester, Fissurlyna! I wish I could play a practical joke on you and Lecia tonight! If there is a fire in a bag on your front doorstep tonight, don't put it out with your foot, OK? Image
But seriously, i was not joking about the prunes. I think they are a primary cause of your constant going to and fro to the bathroom They are like a laxative, they DO have a chemical in them that is a mild laxative. You can get fiber from so many other, none laxative sources. And stay away from cantalopes, they will also make you go!!

Okey-doke Kim : )))! I will have to hypnotize myself "staaaaay awaaaay from the evil pruuuuunes, staaaaaaaaay awaaaaaaaay from the ..." now what about that fire bag : )))) - should I extinguish it by my left over cantaloupes ???? Oh how I wish we all can have party together , laugh and cry without being judged and drink our laxatives in aboundance without fear of screaming in the bathroom -it is Halloween after all , ha ha ha. Hey, at least I am SURE that even the eviliest entities will just skip our homes just to be on the safe side so nothing will " rub on" onto them ; )))) !!!!
What did you used to keep your BMs soft ? Please be very specific in dosing and timing - if you still remember : ).
Have fun tonight for all of us who can not !!!! K?

I can't remember the Mg, but i used two colace twice a day. Two first thing in the morning and two aorund 3-4 PM every afternoon. I think they were 100 mg.
Yes, it would nice to get together and party, but I think we need to leave off the laxatives!!!
Yes, put the burning bag out with cantalopes!!!
Well, I am having fun tonight!! I am watching the board and TV!! I guess that's my idea of fun. I had to work today so I am a bit tired. Maybe this weekend I can have some fun. I am sure the following weekend I will!!!

I use half a dose of miralax in the am and half a dose of milk of magnesia in the pm.
Thanks for the rec. for the book that could be helpful for Crohn's disease. I know that people who suffer from this sure seem to be at higher risk for fissures.
Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! :<\:

Can you believe that I used metamucil even before such meals and my dear prunes too !!! OK, now keep our fingers crossed that tomorrow i have soft poo or I will poke you guys with devils fork tomorrow - just joking ; )))! NOT !
Kidding aside, I had to try this, my derier really needs a brake ; ) !
Happy Halloween to you too <3 :drunk:

Hi, that was me about the Crohns. I'll look into the book you suggested. There was also a diet called SCD (simple carb diet) that supposedly helps a lot of people with Crohns. I dont think I have it, but i wont know until I get scoped, and I dont want to get scoped until I heal this fissure.
I lived in Croatia for 5 years after the war and traveled around a lot. I did translations for the Soros foundation. The place, especially the coast is so beautiful and the people are so nice.
Help! I broke down and ate 2 reeses cups from my kids halloween stash, is this gonna set me back 6 wks???!!! I'll have to drink an extra glass of prune juice.
