Using your fingers may actually be better. There was a study that showed that "self-massage" was more effective than "self-dilation" for fissures. I just can't to get my finger in there comfortably for some reason.
8/09: new fissure
12/10: LIS/fissurectomy, 3 week recovery
1/17: new fissure/hemmy
2/17: saw CRS, start nifedipine
4/17: fissure no longer seen, but pain sitting/walking
7-8/17: new CRS, 3 hemms seen, end nifed, HC didnt help
9-10/17: infrared coagulation

Sorry that it's taken so long for me to respond. These are the dilators that I use (13mm and 18mm):

These are what my PT had, but there are probably better ones.
