I'm very happy with my decision, although I truly wish I'd had it done sooner!

I am happy with my LIS even though I re injured the area 3 weeks ago. The pain I have now in comparison to the pain pre LIS is like day and night ! I can only assume that LIS helped there enormously!
I wish your husband fast recovery whatever he decides to do.

i had a chronic fissure for close to four years and finally when i got around to scheduling my LIS + fistulotomy, i started macrobiotics and in a month's time, my CRS canceled the LIS+fistulotomy.
i have been fine ever since my colonoscopy; I scheduled all three procedures on the same day and just kept the colonoscopy.
it will be up to your husband to decide how long he wants to endure the pain of it all.
yes he will be susceptible to fissures, just as anyone else, in the future.
his body is trying to tell him something and hopefully he can figure out what it is trying to say.
good luck.

fiss and tabby, i wish i knew.....
i think everyone's body will have a different message to decipher.....
although i don't have fissure any more, i do have laverne and shirley and they have been b*tches this week since i have had a lot of gas and dealing with my antibiotics for the fish tank granuloma.
from what i can tell, i have been force farting because i have so much gas build up in the a.m. when i am getting out of bed, while i am at work, walking home from work, in the evening, etc. (i have begun all week changing my diet to more veggies/tofu/macro prinicples to help me lose my weight gain and help me in my training so i have increased the amount of gas my body is producing with all the veggies and tofu i am eating).
today is a pizza day at pizzeria uno - their pizza is soooo good but so fat!!!!!
***
anyway, laverne and shirley made my ass feel like it was on fire when i farted this morning that even going to have my bm was slightly uncomfortable and i just took a shower immediately and tried to wash off and cool off my ass!!!!! it helped......i think it is a combination of the force farting, the antibiotics to treat the fish tank granuloma, and i had spicy food yesterday......
i swear it felt like i had eaten a can of jalapenos but i didn't even have one......
