Is it normal to still have light brown exudate/goo coming out of the open wound and rectally at this point? The wound is pretty shallow now, and the itching is sooooo intense!
It's hard to say. I can only speak from botox-fissurectomy point of view. And I think intermittent blood is normal as it can take up to a full 8 weeks to heal. But, I can't speak of brown-exudate/goo. The important thing is that it's not a sign of infection. Also, if concerned, it dowsn't Hurt to ask the doc's office.
i had this brown/red sticky exudate tooo.... they say its clots and debris.it decreases with time, i had my LIS on 16th may2012. it does itch when it heals.
