It's back :-(

Postby momof3beauties » 02 Feb 2016, 09:22

Well it's been an entire year now and I'm still dealing with this stupid tearin my ass. Just when I think it's gone, it lets me know it's still there. I've been working out more than usual lately and that's when the rectal pain started again. Does that happen to anyone else? My CRS said I needed to do the surgery a year ago because I would never not have a problem with fissures. I'm just so scared and I wish I could just get it taken care of at home. I'm not nearly as bad as I was before when it first happened but every couple of months I have to deal with it. Thoughts of surgery from anyone? My symptoms now are itchiness, pain before bowel and pain throughout the day, especially if I run

I had an on and off fissure (in two month increments as well) for several years, and then had full-on for 12 months straight, and the pain in that last year was EXTREME. I clearly didn't opt for the surgery in those on and off years, but finally had it done last year (after the 12 months of agony). Only you can determine when the time is right to take the plunge, based on how big a deal your issue is. I wish you all the best in your decision, and if it helps, having the surgery was the best thing that I've ever done, because it changed my life from one of misery, to the pain-free one I'm living now.
