Sorry to disappear there, folks, but I lost internet access for a while. I thought I'd leave a little update, since I seem to be doing well and I figure maybe that could help others who are worried or considering the surgery or what have you.
So it is now day 13 after my surgery, I went back to work on Day 10 because I was feeling pretty well recovered (and more than a little restless). I'm still taking milk of magnesia every day, but I think it's as much out of habit as anything else. I have my two-week follow-up on Tuesday, hopefully my surgeon will tell me it's time to start living normally again.
In the meantime, I can walk around, sit for a couple hours, and hopefully be more active in the near future. I've even had a little bit of junk food to (so far) no ill effect. Seems like things are going well, and I hope the same goes for all of you out there.

Hello Ozark, Glad to hear from you and thanks for the update. It's really good to see that you're doing well. I noticed that you didn't mention the spasms that you were talking about in a previous post. Have they stopped, and if so, how long did they last? It's sounds like they could've been stress related. Are you still taking any type of pain meds? If not, how long did you need them? I have a LIS and Fissurectomy scheduled for July 10th and I'm already dreading the day more than words can express. Again, thanks for the update, it's a big help.
