Pain shot up again. Staying behind the desk today was just not in the books. Had alot of heavy work to do so I had to get off my a$$. Getting better now that I've stopped but still stuck at work doing paperwork so sitz is gonna have to wait.

That's what is the worst thing about being back at work....can't put my cream on and can't get in the bath...on the plus side pain has only been a 3 when I can sit comfortably and a 5 when I have to sit straight on my butt.
What job do you do?
Still no BM...and it's so hard to get any wind out....starting to feel like a hot air balloon now lol

Did you call the surgeon in the end? Have you been to the toliet since your op?

I now have a fissure, can you believe it :(

Hi Katie,
Yes I called my surgeon he said it's because I'm going so much and he did pre warn me of how difficult it could be, he is seeing me the on the 12th of December as there isn't anything he can or would do yet...
Yes I have been a lot of times unfortunately if I can have a solid BM at Bristol 3 and just the one then my pain is around a 5/6 but If my IBS or crohns is acting up I have serious spasms pain at a 9/10 for about 24 hours....
Oh my goodness your not having a lot of luck are you

One thing which has helped me tremendously with my constant fissure agony is E KEY vitamin e suppositories. It has coconut oil and no constrictors. In my experience it is very difficult to get the nifed and other ointments on the fissure spot to get relief. Maybe it could help post-op also. You have to work it back and forth a little to get on the right spot before inserting completely.

So does everyones muscle go tight once they go to the toliet even if you don't have tears? or is it the tears that make it go into spasm? And is the pain the spasm or the tear??

No everyone has a different sphincter tone some loose some tight it can change due to stress or illness. It's the tears that cause pain that leads to a spasm.

Well it just gone midnight and I'm in a bath in pain around an 8 not quite at the sobbing stage but do think I have perhaps tore my fissure a bit more.
So doi think for me constipation is worse than diarrhoea....well it's certainly not blooming fun but the jury is still out on that one pain is slightly less than with diarrhoea but at least with loose BMs you don't risk a retear. Let's see how long these spasms last then I will make my mind up. My hems are really really bad though
