I'm looking forward to hearing your healing success story will you post it here or start a new thread? I also have an appointment in 2 weeks to have a check up with a surgeon to see where I'm at an what he thinks would could should be the next step.

That's exciting to finally have a surgery scheduled! Are you still planning to move overseas soon?

I'm hoping to avoid surgery and still have a ways to go before I get to that point, but I bet it's a great feeling to know it will finally be over soon. Nothing is better than not having to obsess over pooping all day :D

Thanks gals. I’m thinking I might start a separate thread for my post-op recovery story so it’s easier for people to find. I head overseas in early September so my CRS thinks I should be healed by then. Fingers crossed! I’m freaked out but also don’t think I can escape surgery so figure I might as well get it over with sooner than later.

My first fissure was in 2014. Then it healed and I was fine until I got pregnant last year with my son. I got a fissure in August that healed and then another one in October that healed after a month and finally another one in January that seemed to heal after 8 weeks, but I still have bleeding and a lot of tightness. My CRS doesn't see an active fissure. He sees internal hemorrhoids and a sentinel tag and a papillae, but thinks I'm likely to tear again as soon as I come off diltiazem and Miralax because I'm "exceptionally tight" in his words. I have a really hard time passing any stool that isn't super mushy.

Ok yea that's pretty much me too I remember getting a fissure years ago like before ever getting pregnant but it healed in 1week I guess we have abnormally tight muscles from birth making us more likely to get fissures throughout life

My fissure is bleeding again today not sure why but since I cleaned up my diet my stools have started off misshapen an harder I'm taking 2 movicol sachets a day I'm now having coconut/almond milk with my breakfast an coconut sugar instead of white sugar apart from that I'm just not eating any junk an eating more fruit I think maybe the calcium in the milk? Mite be the issue I just don't know I've tried to make my diet better an it's made my stools worse any ideas?

Oooh, that sounds so painful. I had the same problem last year until I really upped my magnesium citrate throughout the day. Maybe you could try that?

In my town they don't even have magnesium citrate they have other magnesium. I've also been eatting coconut yoghurt with my breakfast so I think that mite be causing it because it's basically just coconut cream maybe it's constipation causing I don't no but I will buy some magnesium maybe just one of the ones sold in my small town
