I didn't add anything to my bath but nice hot water! It seems like someone said they added the epsom salt but I didn't have any so I didn't try it.
I don't want to be bitter about my surgery, but it sure seems like it was unnecessary and now I have problems I never had before. Oh well...live and learn.

CherylK - how funny that my "initials" are bm! Very appropriate for this forum...
It does put it in perspective when you know others who are suffering with cancer and other dreaded diseases. My good friend and neighbor is having cancer surgery today because she was horribly allergic to her chemo treatments. It breaks my heart to see her so sick!
Jo - don't you wish that we could sometimes go back in time and change things? grrrr Glad to know that I don't need to run out and get those salts. I like a hot bath when it's so cold outside, so that shouldn't be a problem to get me into the tub! I wish I could hibernate all winter, with a nice hot bath every few hours.

Hi Anna,
I guess we hopefully become wiser as we age, one good consequence of aging!
I love hot baths, you are right especially on those cold winter days. It gets pretty cold here in the midwest.

Thanks NG! Your name shortens nicely. Mine, however, is totally appropriate for this forum! If I had only known...
I will post and share my experience. Fingers crossed, toes crossed, etc. It just HAS to work! :) Now off to prepare for the week - grocery store, laundry, schedules posted, etc. I can't wait to do all of these things pain-free!

Hey Cherylk,
Good to hear it about your husband's cough, still enough to keep you up for a bit though I guess?
I haven't started the prep just yet, my appointment is for 7 AM Thursday morning and it's 12:30 AM here right now. The only information I got was that I shouldn't eat for one day prior to the procedure, so I figure that gives me another 6 hours or so to stuff myself a bit more before I officially begin prepping :) I've eaten more today than I have on any given day for the last half year or so since I'm not looking forward to starving tomorrow.
I also kind of wonder how the prep is going to so since it involves bisacodyl tablets plus a big jug of some other laxative that looks to be largely polyethylene glycol (same stuff as Miralax) based. Since I already take a daily dose of Miralax every night, I wonder if the prep solution is going to do anything that my daily Miralax dose isn't doing already. Guess we'll see I guess. I've never taken bisacodyl or any other stimulant laxative before so that'll be an ummmm interesting experience.

Good luck Anna! Praying for you.
NG, the prep solution will definitely be doing stuff that your daily miralax dose doesn't do. Sucking on a jolly rancher after I took a drink of it really helped me get that stuff down! Just no red ones!
