Marijuana has saved me

Postby Pherianne » 07 Jun 2019, 15:08

I hope I’ve not angered anyone with my title.

I am 37 years old and will be 38 in two weeks.

I haven’t smoked marijuana since I was 17/18 ... and at the time I wasn’t in pain so it honestly didn’t occur to me.

I confided into a friend how I’ve been feeling lately and that the Tramadol, codeine, Diclofenac, paracetamol, Ibuprofen.... none of it was working. She gave me some marijuana.

Just a little bit stops the spasm. I haven’t needed any narcotic pain meds since Monday.

Now after a BM I’m cleaning myself, then applying EMLA cream, then having a couple puffs, then applying the Diltziam cream ( I never spell that right).

I bought some intimate wash that has camomile to wash my bottom with. That stops soap stinging.

I actually went to work today after having a couple puffs. It was ok, I wasn’t high so I was basically myself. Just kept quiet at my desk and actually got a lot done.

Wow, good for you P, do whatever works as long as you feel OK with it. Going back to work is also a big step forward, so happy to hear you had a good day.

Awesome to hear! I love a smoke here and there but have been afraid to smoke since having my fissure as it has always affected hunger/digestion for me. I am interested in finding a mix that helps with relaxation though and doesn't make me super hungry or delay BMs. I tried CBD oil directly on the fissure but didn't seem to work. However, the percentage might be too weak or something. Have you tried CBD oil or balm?
- February 2019 : Fissure
- Tried all of the creams, perfecting the diet, self dilation
- Reduced symptoms significantly but still not healed
- July 2019 : LIS with tag removal

I don’t get the munchies thankfully. It’s not had any effect on my bowels other than managing the spasm and pain. I have CDB oil as well, but if there is anything coming from that I haven’t seen it yet. I use a full spectrum oil in a vape.

I still take my laxative - pretty sure I’ll need to for the rest of my life.

The only thing it doesn’t help is itching. This day I’m itching inside and I think it’s we’re my stitches are from the polyp removal. I had a polyp over my main fissure.

Ok, lucky you don't get the munchies at all. I don't know much about itch relief but some people say itching is a sign of healing? I have had tiny itch feelings here and there lately and I kind of got excited because I am hoping it is related to healing, haha. Fingers crossed!

I hope it’s a sign of healing. I’d love for this all to be over soon. I can feel what feels like a scab in two places. I’ve out my emla cream and resting on a hot water bottle. It’s better then being in pain I suppose.
