So 2 weeks ago my Dr gave me nifedipine and I've had my husband putting it inside with a qtip 2 times a day. But sometimes I swear it feels like he scratches the fissure and it hurts so bad! I don't know if that's what he is actually doing but it feels like it. 2 days in a row he couldn't do it because he wasn't home and I couldn't bring myself to do it by myself so I only applied it to the outside and it seemed my bm werent as painful. My conclusion was that maybe he was on accident hitting it and less things up there is a good thing. But am I doing any good by applying it only to the outside ?

It shouldn’t really make much difference if you apply the cream inside or out. I always apply it inside as that is what feels easier for me as I have internal and external hems. Doctors don’t seem to mind which
