Oh ok since you've been on this site for so long have you heard from anyone in nz I want to find a recommended surgeon here in NZ? Or how can I find someone on here who has had lis am can recommend a great success?

There is a sub-forum of doctor recommendations, and you can find them from the home page, I think. Otherwise, you might try a google search for "good colorectal surgeons in NZ".
Fissure since about 2007
Fissure diagnosed in 2011
Diltiazem for two years - didn't work well
LIS January, 2015
Hemorrhoidectomy December, 2017

Ok thanks last thing the surgeon said my fissure is long but not deep is that a concern because I'm a female an lis needs to be as long as the fissure?

My CRS never described my fissure at all, and it seems that in Toronto, LIS is offered to everyone, regardless of gender.
Fissure since about 2007

Oh I wish I lived somewhere else with this fissure every doctor or surgeon I've spoken to trust to discourage me from lis an it works I'm very easily put off things plus if they aren't confident then I'm not going to trust their abilities you know
