I am upset. I got a fissure, in 2019 It is a mild one, not like the last one few years before, I had which LIS got rid of. I hasn't gone away. It goes from slightly annoying to really bothering me.

Once I have a slow bowel movement or not as soft it will really bother me until I it calms down.
What helps is the regiment of Miralax and keeping the stools soft. I have been taking Miralax daily.

I know I need to possibly go in but with COVID and other anxieties I am putting it off. For the people who have spoken to their doctors. Is it safe to take miralax everyday, its been over 2 years, am I hurting my body by doing that? Im upset and scared.

I have asked multiple doctors about taking Miralax daily and they all said it is fine to take as long as it's not in excess. I take a half dose most days for the past 3 years.

I know Covid is a worry but all health clinics take a lot of precautions and enforce masking and regular cleaning. Please don't let it stop you from getting medical attention.

Thank you for replying. It helps me to know others have had these experiences and have asked professionals about products. Dr. Google only makes my anxieties go through the roof. I am going to try a balance of Metamucil and Miralax. I will call my CRS next week. I just don't know why it wont heal. Its not the debilitating cant walk, loose 30 pounds fissure I had 5 years ago, but it like is always there and on days when my bowl movements are slower and less soft it can hurt until bowel movements are soft for a few days.

I wish I knew what to do at home to try to get this thing healed. (
