Glad to hear your fissure is healing over. That is wonderful indeed.
I bet all the soaking we are prescribed to do makes us prone to yeast infections too. Glad they figured that out and gave you something to combat it!

He numbs it up with some Lidocaine I guess then he goes in and bands it. The scope he used is the one that he does not blow the air with.(I hate that one)It takes about 30 seconds. No real pain just pressure. This is the third one he did since June. He said they come in threes and its done now. The other two look fine. I have been using the blow dryer too.....Its been 15 years since this bald guy has gotten to use a blow dryer!!!!! The condo next door must be wondering why I am always using a blow dryer.

How did the DR determine you had a yeast infection? i keep thinking I might have an infection too as the whole anus area always feel tight and feels very strained.

Does the skin feel tight or does the muscle feel tight?

It feels raw, unclean, and prickly(like razor stubble). The Dr said he could tell because it looked red.

Update...the cream did not work for the yeast infection....the pills did not work for the yeast infection. Im starting to think its not a yeast infection. Any ideas?? The CRS says my fissure looks good, but I am in serious discomfort.

what other symptoms are you having right now?
intense itching?
any bleeding?
describe more your discomfort if you can?
do you have a lot of gas?
are you using regular toilet paper or baby wipes?
are you blow drying your butt after shower and/or cleansing?

no itching
its very red and raw...it feels unclean and every once in while it feels like razor stubble or a paper cut, but generally it feels like raw skin against skin

are you applying any other creams - medicinal? avoid all soaps and witch hazel.
are you eating spicy foods?
are you moisturizing after each blow dry to keep the skin hydrated?

do you suffer from sweaty ass? because of high humidity and heat in summer, it's easy to get sweaty ass especially if you walk a lot and go out and do active things in the heat.

I would try to put some A&D ointment on it. That is very soothing and can protect it from further irritation.
