Need advice on self-dilation

Postby LostForWords » 08 Jun 2016, 09:54

Hi.

I'm on my third year living with multiple anal fissures and the time has come for me to try self-dilation. The ones I would like to purchase are these: http://ssp-inc.com/products/pediatric-p ... -dilators/

- but I can't find anywhere to buy them. Anyone know where to get them? I'm from europe but am willing to buy from the US if necessary.

I've also been looking into alternatives to the above mentioned ones and these are my best bet so far: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Instruments-GB ... ar+dilator

Any thoughts on those? They are cheap but I'm having a bad feeling about those. Not really medicinal grade I think and they are stainless steel. What do you think?

Thanks for the advice. It seems that the kit they have on ebay is a 3 piece set of 20,23 and 27 mm and that would be way too much. The 20 and 23 might be worth trying some time down the road but I will have to start with much smaller ones.

Do you have any comments on the kit I posted a link to? Would they work or do you see any problems with them?
