I did some research online, and there is very little info about this product online, except for lots of "trademark searches" and various marketing publications. It is made by a company called Transdermal Corporation. I went back to make sure it was still there on the shelf, and bought 2 more tubes. Relief! And no, I don't work for them or anything. I did see something on the internet that said it was only available from Walgreen's, a US chain drugstore. It may be that folks in other countries or areas have more options. I am just glad I found it.

I just sent my husband to the store to find this product. Just the thought of finding relief after suffering since 10am this morning and its now almost 6pm is a god send. Thank you again

With a gloved finger, I push a "pea-sized" amount just inside the anal area, where the fissure(s) appear to be located. It is important to note there may be unwanted side affects such as "Burning or stinging sensation of the skin, Paleness or redness of the skin, Swelling of the skin"...
Doing this after a very warm 10-15 minute (sitz bath) soak, I am almost pain free. At least until the next BM... (I also include a very small amount of the nitro-glycerin cream-not the petroleum based ointment-at the same time. Two birds with one finger...

I just too a long hot shower, placed the cream around the area and feel a little better....I'll try putting some inward later....I'm too soar for that now....I just need to relax a bit. I don't have anything else to use beside my useless anusal suppositories...I'm thinking about coating them in the cream and inserting them later....as for the side effects......nothing could be worse than what I've been feeling since this mornings bm....so a little stinging and discomfort....well, get in line with the rest of the painful effect of AF....again thanks for the advice and the cream....with fingers crossed.....gang here we go!! Night to all.

Just for the record, I haven't experienced any of the negative side effects such as burning and stinging. Just pure pain relief.

West I'm assuming along with the other cream your using, your success is based on the combination. I tried the cream this morning and with little success without the use of 1000mg of Aleve along with it....but it was a good try. I just filled a px for Retiv and with all my hope, I'm hoping this works for me. I just need just one day, one single beautiful painless day to cope with this thing, just one day.

I would suggest (what works for me the best) is applying the cream after a nice, long, very-warm soak. Good luck to you.

I tried that last night for the first time and it worked just a bit, but my fissure is too far gone to feel better. I just found out that the anusol that I'm using may have been a bad idea, so I'm giving that up as of today. I placed a good deal of that cream on one last night an inserted it and it felt okay, but.....this morning...the pain was massive, just massive.

I tried Anusol suppositories initially and it was hurting to insert them... I think it made me worse! Gave up after a week, then had two weeks with slight pain before I ripped open properly and entered spasm hell! That was exactly 3 weeks ago today...
