Keeping a diary

Postby Zodiak » 27 Nov 2013, 07:48

Does anybody else keep a diary of your AF progress?
Although I am a teacher, my background is in Physics and we love charts and graphs in physics, we can spend weeks, months, even years looking at graphs trying to find patterns.
I feel that for me this would be pro-active, it is something I understand and can relate to problem solving. I mean to say that's how we found the Higgs boson so a small AF should be much easier
I know that some doctors have charts and would be interested to know what goes on them, or what other people record.
Currently I am recording Diet, exercise, pain level, and BM.
For BM I am recording pain level, how difficult is was to pass, how much it still hurt two minutes later and any sign of blood.
I haven't go enough data to start plotting charts yet, in fact I have no idea how I am going to chart it, but it isn't as if I am going anywhere soon! :verysad:

Hey Zodiak,
I use the my food symptoms app. It is great as you can record everything on this, BM Bristol scale, symptoms, food eaten, medication, Exercise,Environment. The app will give you results over a period of time, and will pinpoint foods etc that may be causing problems... Available on IPhone and IPad. X

Zodiak,
Check out the Diaries section on this site - there are some really great accounts of individuals' AF progress.
Definitely worth a read.
Rachael - Many thanks for the app pointer! I'm going to check it out too :D

I have filled in the past few days, which took quite a bit of time but it will get faster. The only problem is that it sees every BM as an issue and I only want it to report with ones that hurt, so I might even have to read the documentation , or remove the ones that are OK. :thanx:
