Possible rectal prolaps

Postby LostForWords » 23 Dec 2013, 08:34

Hi.

Due to a week of constipation I now have multiple fissures as mentioned in another thread.
I have started Movicol, Magnesiumoxid and Diltiazem and the last 2 days have been pain free while having BM with only a little irritation while walking.

I have seen something about applying pressure between the anus and tailbone while having BM in order to prevent retear. I tried it and it seems to work. I did get a little scared though. Here is why.

I had a plastic glove on and while having the BM I could feel that something was sticking out. Or at least thats what it felt like. Which is basically eighter anal prolaps or hemorrhoids and I dont have hemorrhoids, just got an examination under a week ago but it could also "just" be the swelling from the fissures as Im pretty swollen and tight down there at the moment and I would think that this would be much more obvious during defecation.

So, anyone else has a lot of swelling with their fissures? Have you felt it during bowel movements? I quess most of you haven´t. I would not have felt anything if it wasen´t for my hand being down there, no other symptoms of rectal prolaps but I know that this can be pretty much symptom free in the beginning stages.

Hi,
I have just started supporting the coccyx area too, and I noticed the same thing. I just think that's what happens when you poop., I don't think it's a prolapse or anything..... Like you say.... You would never notice it otherwise.

Hope that puts your mind at ease.
