Hi all my fissure friends.
My apologies for my absence. I put the change of forum site in the too hard basket for too long.
So here I am nearly 12 months since my last chronic anal fissure. As I was sitting on the loo this morning with no fear, no pain and no blood for the past three months and I thought I could finally post here.
Into a nutshell- a miserable, horrible few months that was relieved by many things. Diet, water, warm baths, rectogesic, movicol, one course of Botox and ...time.
I still have a large sentinel tag and scar tissue at the fissure site which is a reminder to keep looking after myself especially post BM hygiene.
I still have rectogesic as a take everywhere item for anal spasm that can still occur afer a firm BM as well as sudocream for the blasted itch that still flares up every now and then. I only use Movicol as a preventative for constipation if I travel.
I am now able to do anything I want in terms of activity, whilst keeping a close eye on my diet and water intake. I am back horse riding every day.
Thank you to everybody on this site for all of your support and advice.
