A week without blood and pain! This past Friday was a month post-surgery. So, similar to what Tight has said, the blood continues until about week three or four. Hopefully, this trend continues! Scheduled my follow up for about three weeks out. It's supposed to be just two weeks from now, but I want to give it a little extra time before they start prodding around down there, seeing that's irritated it in the past. And, I am doing well so far, so why rush? Giving lots of thanks to God for this healing and praying it continues so that I am fully healed!

On a side note, has anyone else really struggled with getting in their water each day? It's especially hard, seeing I am up to around 150 ounces, especially on days when I am out and about. I feel like is have the world's smallest bladder and spend a good portion of the day (and waking up during the night) to use the bathroom. It's small price to pay to heal this, though!

Bad news. Had some blood on tissue paper today. UGH.
No pain, but I am so fed up. You do so well for so long and then it seems like for no reason it starts again. It wasn't even a hard bm.
I am hoping this is only minor and that it will clear up quickly. Not looking good for the follow up appointment in two weeks, though.

Hopefully, this is just short lived. Remember my doctor said to expect some blood for up to 6 weeks.

I just had my surgery yesterday and today it feels like the Himalayas down there! Very swollen. Did you have that? Did you use any ice?

What did you take to keep your bowels moving? Kind of dreading that first BM.

It was very swollen, but I didn't notice it for the first day or two, seeing they injected some numbing agent to help with it. Though, on day 2 or 3, I remember very vividly feeling that incision site as well as some large, but short-lived spasms. I hope your pain gets better soon! Just think, in a couple of weeks, you'll hopefully be pain free!

I am still mostly pain free, and I say that as I have no spasms, but I did feel some pain around the left side, where I had my incision, today. It's very strange that I am feeling it again... Some light bleeding still. Hopefully, it will clear again soon!

It seems to have been a good few days. Still no pain, and there doesn't seem to be any blood.
As many on here have stated, you need to look at the overall pattern - more good days than bad days is something to celebrate -- as well as no pain!
I also seem to be able to take longer walks without the skin rash bothering me.
Check up is in a week. Hoping and praying for the best!

Still doing well! I used a tip on the board about using vaseline on your bum to help with the initial plug. This seems to be helping, and it's amazing and great to be feeling like I am having normal bms again - consistency-wise and pain-free. I have to wonder if the stress from having the fissure contributed to the problems I was having in keeping a consistent stool type. My diet never really changed much, but it always seemed like I was all over the board in terms of the number of times I had to go during the day and in their consistency.

Thanks for all of your support, thoughts, and prayers! I am praying that this all continues, as I am already really grateful about the progress!
