Hi, everyone. I am feeling a bit better today than I have been in the past couple of weeks. I believe it is just time and patience that is helping to heal this thing. Pain is still present after BMs, but I think it might be getting a little better.

I ordered some Manuka Honey (Active MGO 400+ (Old 20+) Manuka Honey 100% Pure By Manuka Health New Zealand Ltd.).
I have been reading in various places that it should be applied inside the anus, but how far in should it be applied?

I never really understood how far up an anal fissure can be. I suppose this is based upon the length of anal canal/cavity.
Does anyone know the answer to this?
I have been applying extra virgin coconut oil with less than the length of my index finger's first knuckle. Is that deep enough?

I found - sadly - that Manuca Honey irritated my skin. I also got the best one, from NZ. I landed up eating all of it instead!!

Personally, I would use a pinky and very gently insert a little bit just inside the anal rim. Try it out first.
