Hi A,
I think ETO and J are right, it takes a while for everything back there to settle down. It can take up to 2 years for the skin to gain strength again.... Now, you say that you are in pain with every BM? You sound similar to me.... This is the problem I have. I have high resting pressure, so I re-tear, and possibly get small new fissures which sometimes cannot be seen. This is why I was so confused, as my last CRS kept insisting I was healed... But I knew that I was re-tearing and still getting some kind of pain or irritation on every BM. Have you had a pressure test? What happens is every time you tear, part heal, then re-tear the muscle over works and becomes tighter, which in turn causes the high resting pressure. I'm not sure if this is the case with you, or you just need more time for things to settle down. I do wish you luck and I'm praying you can lead a normal pain free life. I was chatting to a colleague the other day in the office, and she said I looked miserable. I told her about my a fissure hell, and she told me that she'd had one for 6 months. She said that it did heal, but she still gets twinges now, a year or so on.... So it does take time. You will get there, sending you my prayers. Xxxxxxxx
