Hi ETO!
Yes, I'm hopefully going to get my life back..... I've been waiting for an answer, as you know for soooo long. I'm pretty scared about the surgery, but I can't live with the pain any more, and the total fear of re-tears. I'm glad you're doing okay.

Hi J!
You sound like you're doing really well! Great to have a Botox success, so inspiring for other Botoxers on here! Thanks for the best wishes! 8 weeks and 4 days to go. Xx

Hi Splinter,
Sorry you are still suffering. I can't deal with the fear of re-tears and the pain daily, so I'm going for the LIS. Yes, I'm scared but I want my life back! I've gone on nearly 2 years now. When I had the test, they inserted a small probe(I had in my head the probe would be massive, so worked myself up into a right state beforehand) then you clench when the nurse instructs you to. They also did an ultra sound to look at the thickness of my sphincter muscle. Maybe you could get the test to see if that's your issue too. That's why after the Diet changes, Botox etc etc... I just can't stay healed.

Helllllllppppppp....... I've had a major re-tear. Now, in the past I've been able to deal with the re-tears pretty quickly. This one is different. I've got the hell knife pain really bad, it feels like I'm passing bricks. When I apply the Rectogesic it stings like hell..... I'm crying in bed, wanting to crawl into a hole. It looks like I'm going to call in sick, there's no way today I can function in this hell pain. This could all be my fault, I lowered the magnesium, now I'm in hell! 6weeks until my LIS.... How the hell can I calm things down again. I'm lubricating, taking my Movicol, Diet etc. the resting pressure I'm sure isn't helping, but I've managed okay over the last few weeks. Back into depression again........ :groan: :poop: :poop: :poop:

Rachael,

I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering and that your surgery is a few weeks away... I know it's hard for you to remain positive but there is a light at the of the tunnel.

Oh Rachael,

I'm so, so sorry. I don't have any great words of advice. You already know what to do to help it heal. Start doing all the things you can remember that helped in the past. Also, remember when it first tears it feels the worst. As you start to implement the things that have worked for you, it should settle down some so you can function.

Right now I know 6 weeks seems like forever but just keep concentrating on how much better you'll be after surgery. Hang in there. I know it's hard. There are better days coming for you!

I'm praying so hard for you. :smilyhug:

Oh Rachael,
I'm so sorry to read and feel your pain and suffering again - if there's one positive, it confirms that you are 100% doing what you need to do and in 6 weeks time, you will be through this and on your way to recovery......Can you see your GP to prescribe you some Diazepam - Valium? (It's an extremely addictive drug and I wouldn't suggest it generally) but it's the one single thing that reduces your anxiety very quickly and relaxes your muscles to such an extent that you feel sane and calm again and able to cope - hell, you need a break - How many years of suffering have you had to put up with??......You know exactly what you need to do, so hang in there.....you are one tough cookie and you will make it.....never give up.......I don't think this is your fault or you did anything wrong - I think you are unfortunate enough to be one of the few that just needs intervention to help sort you out and you are on your way.
How are you feeling now???
Sending you a massive hug and wishing I could wave a magic wand to make it all better and for everyone else suffering so badly.............xxx
