Hang in there, OMB!

:%`+:
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Three days is a start at least. What pain meds are you still taking?

I actually purchased a good shower head with the hose attachment, and I regret not doing it sooner. I've read that you had one a while back which put the idea in my head. I've been taking those sits baths in that plastic bath the surgeon supplied for all this time...

Yes, rinsing off with the shower straight after a bm has been really good. Saves wiping or touching the area. I have an electric shower over my bath. I bought a long hose bit for it, and now I just sit on the edge of the bath and rinse straight off after a bm, then pat my cheeks dry with a flannel then hair dryer off on a cool setting. A quick swish of the bath with detox after. Hey presto. Jobs a good un!

Thankyou Sav and scientist..... :thankyou: :smilyhug:

So nice to hear that you are staying upbeat and positive OMB. Things have gotten really bad for me recently and it really helps me to think of others like you who are carrying on and remaining hopeful. I hope your trend of better days continues
Dec '13 Fissure from anoscope
3 X internal sphincter botox
'08-'15 Botox for pelvic floor dysfunction
Nov '14 LIS/sentinel tag removal
Feb '15 Deroofing of recurrent infection from LIS
summer '15-healed but still ongoing muscle dysfunction/pain
