Bit of a difficult bm this morning, and I've been feeling a bit off all day. I'd say I was a bit sorer ..... But was expecting to feel alot worse.
It still looks sore and raw down there, so maybe it's healing from the bottom up??
After almost a week of going commando I am back to underwear again, as I'm back on the honey for a week. I really think it has helped in easing things for me.... So will continue with it again.

Msimon.... I'm sorry to hear things have taken a backward step for you. These things do tend to happen.... But usually tend to recover a bit quicker each time. Xx

Well... Bit of an update....
Mr w asked me to send him a picture, which I did. He got back to me saying clearly something isnt right, and an appointment in clinic wouldn't be enough, so he's going to book me in for an examination under anaesthetic.
Hopefully I will get the appointment through sooner rather than later.
The thought of more anaesthetic is scary for me.... I really don't get on with it... I spent 4 hours in recovery being sick and violently shaking last time.... It's not something I am looking forward to doing again.... Although I understand the need for it to be able to check internally that the flap is in place and there's nothing more sinister going on in there.

Ugh.

:smilyhug: Oh dear, my dear OMB! So sorry that you have to go through it (anesthesia) all again. Could you find out/do you know what you had last time, and see if the can't vary/offer something else?

Very big extra hug to you and hope you see Mr W soon.

Glad you are in contact with mr w but sorry to know that something is not right. Be sure you let them know the trouble you had last time you had anesthesia. How disappointing. Hoping the best for you!

Sorry to hear your not doing better, but I am glad that Dr. W agrees that something is not right and wants to do more to help you. I know what you mean about anesthesia, it is very scary for me too, especially when you wake up not feeling well after. Have you tried talking to an anesthesiologist about how your feel afterwards? Maybe they can try a different type of drug. I have been under many times and had no problems except for last time, when I had a general LMA anesthesia for the first time. I called the hospital and asked for a list of the drugs he used, and I plan to provide the list to my next anesthesia team and tell them what happened to me to see if we can try to avoid it happening again. Maybe it's a certain drug that just makes you ill and they can use an alternative...

Hi, Ask you doctor to use a spinal. I had my double flap surgery with a spinal instead of general anesthesia. I didn't get sick from it and I woke up faster because you only get light sedation with it. I prefer not to have a general if at all possible. I have my fingers crossed for you sweetie. You've been through so much. Take care, Suzy.

I don't think he is going to give you a spinal for just an exam...I had spinal for my hemmie surgery, and I can certainly understand having it for a big double flap procedure...I had just light sedation for my flap surgery, and my LIS, and all the botox procedures, and I woke up feeling great. He injected my butt with local anesthesia to keep me numb for the rest of the day. For just an exam, I should think IV sedation will suffice, but some Drs go straight to the general anesthesia or LMA (Laryngeal Mask Airway - essentially a lighter general), but in my experience the IV sedation was fine.

OMB, So sorry things are going so tough right now but it's great that you Doctor is going to see you, hopefully soon. I would think he would only use sedation to examine you....but that's just my personal thoughts on it.
