They will have all my notes, so they will be able to see what I've had before. I'm sure it will be a very light one.
I'm worried now as to what he will find, and what he will need to do to rectify it. I had made my mind up that I didn't want any more surgery for at least a good year... But if it's a fistula, then I will have no choice.

I think if you had a fistula you'd have noticed a drain from the external opening...If it is an abscess, he can fix it immediately and hopefully relieve your pain. In any event, you will have peace of mind of knowing that he has taken a look. Perhaps it's a skin tag or a hemmie that is just really aggravated? Sorry to hear you're in distress, I hope that he finds it's just a quick fix and you'll finally be over this nightmare.

I'm glad you're finally going to be seen. The exam under anesthesia is what my surgery started out as, and my doctor told me that he would probably do the flap surgery after he had a good look at what was going on. He used a spinal with light sedation. As it wound up I had two flaps, and dilation and a biopsy. Generally they don't just sedate you for an exam. They try to fix the problem at the same time. There's a great anti nausea drug out there they gave me called Zofran. It worked great. I'm hoping they finally get you back to normal soon so you can enjoy life again. Good luck, Suzy.

I'm sorry OMB you need to go through more Anaesthetic, but I think it good that he's taking a look......
Sending my hugs and strength to get you through this. I'm sure if it is a fistula, you'd have symptoms of that...

I know it's hard and we think all kinds of things(I do it myself...Google sound familiar?) ugh not good....
I know you'll keep positive and you're a fighter! Xxxxxx

Thankyou all for your support. You are all very kind! I couldn't do without you all spurring me on through these tough times.

Things are just ticking along... No change.... Except my period started so I am even sorer... Ugh! ( and grumpier!)
If I haven't heard anything from the hospital by mid week I will get on to them.

Nope...... It's another shitty day.
I felt like I had tore the sore outside patch...... Hubby looked.... And yes... I have. No idea why... It's not like I have been eating bricks.... But it sure feels like I'm shi**ing them!!!

Spoke to mr W's secretary..... She is going to clarify with mr w what he wants doing, and wether I need to keep my 17 th oct appt or not. Hopefully I will hear from her later today, or tomorrow.

Wow, OMB, I am so sorry. That sounds wretched. Keep on that Mr W. I'm not sure why he wouldn't have you in straight away, rather than on the 17th. Make sure he knows about this new tear.

Here are some hugs (wish they could be real)
:smilyhug: :smilyhug: :smilyhug:
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
