Dec 1. Monday. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I retore fissure. Don't think I am making any headway. I'm so hurt pretty bad after my BM this morning. Yesterday I didn't go in and was overall a really good day. Frustrated and I don't know where to go from here. See my CRS in one week and I'm wondering do I ask for more tests? Manometery? Do I give it more time? Do I get a second opinion? Wondering what is normal for how loose after lis?

I'm so sorry to hear you are having so many problems. Hopefully next week you can get some answers from your CRS. He may suggest a pressure test to see just how tight you still are.

Are you using any creams like nitro in the mean time??

Dec 14. A little over three weeks since I tore my old fissure. My Crs said she would not do another lis. She will give me more botox if I want. Never helped before, but that's my only choice now. I'm at a loss. I'm a mess. Yes still using diltiazem cream. I had a lumpectomy and biopsy this last week as well. I'm only 34 and hardly ever been sick before. I really feel like Job of the Bible. At least I get Vicodin for a while. I would love some advice. Any suggestions? Botox again? Do I ask for tests? Second opinion? Just run away and hide from life?.....

Oh gosh.... What alot you have to cope with!! I'm thinking maybe a second opinion from another crs? I really don't know if Botox will do any more than the diltiazem you are currently using. Maybe a fresh pair of eyes on the situation would be beneficial.

Hugs

Thanks Omb. I really am confused and stressed out. I truly wish I could run away for a while- and leave my butt behind as well. Yes botox never really helped much in the past. Perhaps I should get a second opinion? I just like my crs so much. How can this not heal? It healed for 5 weeks and then tore again. I was so loose in the beginning- maybe too loose, but I felt Better then. Ok I think and pray about what to do. So confused.

Hb,

Have you tried going to a pelvic floor physical therapist? It might be beneficial..
2/14 Fissure developed
3/14 Diagnosed w/ fissure given Nifedipine
4/14 Referred to Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy=Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
5/14 Fissure declared "healed"/chronic anal pain persists
9/5/14 Botox to pelvic floor
9/22 biofeedback

Hi hopeful. The uncertainty weighs heavy on your mind I know. If we just knew the right course of action we would take it and be done with it. I think a second opinion but know one but you can decide what is best. I am so sorry for all that you are going though. Peace be with you, I will keep you in prayer tonight.
