Maybe you're right Suzy. I have had blood and stinging today, just like I would if I was re fissuring. It's something I will bring up with crs in a couple of weeks. I'm feeling particularly low today..... New year, same bum problems!

Sorry O. I am in the same boat with you with bleeding and pain. Back at square one. Wildly depressed. Have an ear infection on top of it. I will be on the couch for a least the next few hours. Guess I will go try some lidocaine. Let's just sail this boat to the land where fissures don't exist eh?

So sorry to hear that OMB. I hope the new year brings us all much better times. I too am not doing well. I am spasming like crazy before, during and especially after BMs and am still seeping from my LIS incision site, almost 7 weeks post-surgery. Can't comment on the fissure as it's internal but it doesn't feel healed either. Don't know what to do from here. To top it off my marriage nearly ended today. Took me hours of persuasion to get one last chance :( How do things get so bad...

Wounded, do you have some treatment for your ear infection? Have you decided what you are going to try next?
Dec '13 Fissure from anoscope
3 X internal sphincter botox
'08-'15 Botox for pelvic floor dysfunction
Nov '14 LIS/sentinel tag removal
Feb '15 Deroofing of recurrent infection from LIS
summer '15-healed but still ongoing muscle dysfunction/pain

W's..... I'll get on that boat!! Save me a space!

Msimon..... Sorry to hear things are so god awful for you still. It sounds crazy that you are spasming so much after bms. I wonder if your CRS just didn't cut enough of the muscle??
Have you tried putting some wound honey on your incision site? It helped heal my external fissure really well.
Sorry you're having a tough time with your marriage. It's such a depressing affliction to live through, I'm sure us sufferers are a nightmare to live with.... I know I am! I went bat shit at my poor husband last night for spilling some of my movicol, but still giving me the rest, even though it was just half a dose! I panicked like he had done the worst thing in the world to me. Bloody ridiculous!

R.... Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Love and hugs to everyone who is suffering. How I wish I could wave a magic wand and make everyone's pain go away.
:fairy:
:%`+: :comfort:
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Ear infection treated and gone. On the upswing for fissure healing. Doing better. So sorry to hear you are struggling with your marriage, msimon. Must be so hard for you dealing with both things at the same time. I have become more unsure what to do next but having a colonoscopy on the 17th. Thanks Rachael for your kind words. Wish we all could be done with this. Thanks scientist, I wish you had that magic wand too! OMB, I will let you be captain of the boat if you want!

Well, I had my first acupuncture session yesterday. She said I looked like I had hypermobility syndrome with EDS.... Basically 'friable' skin that tears easily.
She did some treatment with a red light, and some treatment with the needles. She advised me to take collagen supplements and to eat nut butters... But not peanut. She also advised no bananas. I felt ok first thing this morning.... But am getting pretty sore as the day goes on. She thinks I will start to see some sort of improvement in 3-4 weeks.

Oh, the collagen has to be seafood not pig or beef as its slightly better quality and easier to digest.

I have my appointment with my CRS tomorrow.... So lets see what he has to say.
