Are bathroom issues related to a faulty gallbladder?

Postby boodles » 03 Apr 2015, 18:03

Does anyone know if gallbladder problems are related to digestion issues which eventually have effects like hemorrhoids and fissures?

Since the gallbladder releases bile acid into the intestine and can be the cause of diarrhea, and diarrhea can cause both hemorrhoids and fissures, there could certainly be a connection there. My CRS thought that I had bile acid diarrhea, causing my chronic issue with far too loose stools, and I have suffered with both hemorrhoids and fissures for years. Do you have a current gallbladder condition? If so, you should check with your doctor to see if he/she thinks that there is a connection in your case too.
