I went to GI Doctors for years, finally an elderly Doctor from Austria told me he always advised his post surgery patients warm prune juice and it worked. I had a diverticuli bleed and told to take Mirolax then lactolose after small bowel blockage due to what Dr said was scar tissue. After awhile on each I had diarrhea so thru the past few years I stopped each. I recently started ducosate to keep my stool from getting hard again - stopped after diarrhea but more important lack of access to commode during med tests. So here I am constipated and NOT sure which to take but have to do something quick

Yeah magnesium citrate is good, lots of water, eat prunes with every meal or slippery elm?
