scrape inside of my rectum...help . Update

Postby Zizi » 18 Mar 2015, 00:44

I apply vasaline before I go bm (because I have fissure). Today, when I was applying vasaline, I think I poked too hard and maybe scrape the inside of my rectum ... I felt pain. So, now I feel a little bit sore but it's not painful. I'm worry that that scrape might inflamed and become an abscess which might caused a fistula... what are the chances that this could happen? I don't know much about fistula. am I worry too much..I have a chronic fissure and hemorrhoid, don't want to have more problems...

Update: My left buttock became sore after I went to work... I was feeling a little bit light headed(like slight fever) after I got home from work but I'm feeling better now (the headache). My buttock is still sore...I can feel the inside of my rectum is also sore. Thank you for reading my post.

Update: 3/20

Don't have any fever or chill. But my left butt cheek feels sore. Sometimes, the soreness can extend to my left leg. For example, if I sit too long, like when I eat a meal while sitting down, the soreness will increase. No blood during bm. I'm just not sure if it's getting better or worse. Can't go to the doctor because I don't have insurance... I don't mind if it's taking time healing slowly. I'm just worry if it's going to turn into an abscess. Do anyone know what are the signs or symptoms if a wound is turning to an abscess?

hmmm, I really couldn't say but if you have fever, I might get that checked out. I had an abscess and then a fistula and evidently it is just the luck of the draw! A 50/50 chance. So you might be fine. But best to get it checked out!

Hi jlm1,

Thanks for the advice! 50/50 chance is kind of scary...

I know! Best to not drive yourself crazy until you know something for sure. There's an expression someone said to me, Don't look for trouble, until trouble finds you! :)

Could someone tell me what an abscess looks like? Could it be mistaken for a thrombosed haemorrhoid?

Hi copycats and others that are curious curious. I can't say specifically as I am no physician and I didn't have an abscess before my fistula. However, I happened to do a bit of searching and came up with this PDF with some pictures and explanations. It seems quite interesting and useful. Hope it provides some insight. I know too well it's hard to not question "what specifically is it!?!?". Been there before and after my surgery. :)
